The story of Shital Vij is a matter of great Pride for Jalandhar, because it is the story of a great Industrialist & Exporter of the Punjab State as a whole.I had interviewed a great entrepreneurial skilled personality, Mr.Shital Vij who is the owner of Shital Group of Companies.

Shital Group of Companies was established in the year 1978.They started its operation with a small Venture involved in the production of Fur lining, Fabric & other Textile items-says Shital Vij.

Shital Vij has started this company with a small Trading unit with Initial Investment of Rs.10,000 in 1978 & the Initial Profit earned was Rs.15,000.His Father was a Textile Diploma Holder and he has started a small manufacturing unit of Socks in 1956 in the village Talwan near to Noormahal.After the birth of Shital, his Father shifted to Jalandhar for seeking more opportunities in the market.

After the beginning of Shital Group of Companies, the company has diversified itself into more Product Lines such as Manufacturing and Export of Acrylic Mink Blankets, Lightweight Carpets, Fur Lining fabric & Furnishing Fabric.

Currently, the Company has a huge turnover of Rs.500 crores per year compared to initial turnover of Rs.5,00,000 in 1978.The Shital Group of Companies comprises of four Companies with its administrative offices at S-9 Industrial Area and A-17 Focal Point Ent.

4) Shital Fibres.

These all units have Technical Collaboration with Sucker+Muller GMBH,Germany.The group is a 100% Export oriented unit,exporting to almost all the countries of the world which consists mainly Middle East, South East Asia, European Union,UK, Latin America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, USA & Canada.The fastest growth of this company is the result of more than 2000 highly qualified & dedicated employees.He has regulated Strict Inspection Procedure from incoming of Raw Material to finished product and has certified his company with ISO 9002 Quality Certification.
